It is better to make the dough for the pie yourself. After all, homemade pie dough, mixed with love, will make your pie incredibly tasty. But when there is absolutely no time to prepare the dough, you can buy ready-made yeast dough for pies in any store. I'll share my favorite easy recipe dough for pies and pies. It is universal for baking and by varying the amount of sugar, you can use the dough in sweet or savory pies.

Recipe for light yeast dough for pies

To make delicious low-fat pie dough, you need to stock up on three hours of time and the following set of products:

  • 1 glass of warm milk;
  • 3 cups sifted flour;
  • 1 glass of water at room temperature;
  • 1 teaspoon each of sugar, salt and quick dry yeast;

This dough can be called dietary because the recipe does not contain heavy foods (eggs, butter, etc.). Baking from this dough in moderate quantities can be eaten by anyone who is on a diet or losing weight. So, mix dry yeast, salt and sugar with milk, add water and 1 cup of flour. After 25 minutes (when the yeast begins to foam), the dough should “grow” almost twice in volume. Gently mix it and add the remaining flour and vegetable oil.

Knead with your hands into an elastic dough that does not stick to your hands. Place the dough in a small deep bowl and cover with a kitchen towel. Leave to rise in a warm place for 2-3 hours. During this time, the dough will grow greatly in volume; it needs to be beaten with a kitchen spatula at least 3 times.

Filling for canned fish pie

While the dough is rising and rising, you can make the filling for our fish pie. Here are the products needed for the filling:

  • 2 cans of canned fish;
  • 2-3 large onions;
  • 100 grams of dry rice;
  • 2 tbsp. spoons of vegetable oil.

Regarding the fish for the pie. I prefer to bake pies with canned saury or pink salmon. Canned food should not be taken in oil, but natural. It is better to take rice that is cooked in bags (this way it is guaranteed not to burn).

Boil rice in a bag (100 grams), do not add salt. Onions cut into cubes and fry in vegetable oil until soft. There should be a lot of onions, it makes the filling juicy and aromatic. Open the canned fish, drain the liquid, lightly mash the fish pieces with a fork. Add the canned liquid to the rice and stir. Combine fried soft onions, mashed canned food and rice. Let the filling sit for half an hour so that it is saturated with juices.

Pie with canned fish - recipe

  1. Divide the dough into 2 parts. Roll out one part and place on a greased baking sheet.
  2. Spread the filling evenly over it.
  3. Roll out the second part of the dough and put it on top, pinch the edges of the pie - this way we get closed fish pie with rice. I prefer closed pies; the filling remains juicy and the pie is well baked. We leave a small hole in the center - a ventilation window for hot steam to escape.
  4. Remove the pie from hot oven for half an hour (180 degrees). Then reduce the temperature and bake for another 20 minutes. The top crust should be well browned.

The inside of the pie remains very juicy and tender. Homemade yeast dough rises very well and makes the cake very soft in taste, literally fluffy! Enjoy the excellent taste of this wonderful fish pie with canned food, rice and onions.

Jellied pie is a very tasty and easy-to-prepare baking option. The dough for the jellied pie is mixed with kefir, yogurt or sour cream. As the name implies, the dough comes out liquid, it is easily poured into the mold, covering a layer of filling. The taste of the jellied pie dough is reminiscent of pancakes: it is just as tender, with a characteristic milky taste. But we can’t say that the cake comes out very airy. Thanks to the eggs and baking powder, of course. jellied pie on kefir it becomes very tender and rises in the oven. But after it cools, the dough will noticeably settle. Nevertheless, the baked goods turn out magically delicious, and if you have never baked pies with kefir, I advise you to try it. Today I propose to prepare a simple kefir jellied pie with canned fish. It is prepared very quickly: literally in 10 minutes the dough is kneaded with kefir, to which the fish filling is added. Recipe for kefir jellied pie with canned fish

Preparatory stage: set the oven to preheat to 180 degrees.

1. First, prepare the filling for the jellied pie. Peel the onion, rinse and finely chop. Fry over medium heat in a small amount of vegetable oil until transparent. Set the onion aside to cool slightly.

2. Now let's make the dough for the jellied pie. Break 2 eggs into a deep bowl and pour 0.5 liters. kefir, the fat content of kefir does not matter.

3. Beat with a whisk until a homogeneous mass is formed.

4. Add flour, salt and baking powder (or slaked soda with vinegar). Mix, a hand whisk does an excellent job of this task.

5. Add vegetable oil and mix.

6. The dough for the kefir jellied pie is ready. The consistency should resemble dough for thin pancakes or liquid sour cream.

7. The onions in the frying pan have already cooled down by this time. Open the canned fish and drain the excess liquid. Remove the hard ridges from the canned fish and transfer the flesh to the frying pan. There is no need to clean the fish very thoroughly; the remaining bones will not be felt in ready dish. Mash the canned fish with a spatula and mix with the onion.

8. Since the pie dough is liquid, I advise you not to use a springform pan to prevent the dough from leaking out. A silicone baking dish does its job perfectly, and there is no need to grease it with oil. Pour half of the kefir jellied pie dough into the mold.

9. Spread the filling of canned fish and onions evenly on top.

10. Pour the remaining dough on top. Place in a preheated oven at 180°C for 40-50 minutes, depending on the height of the mold.

11. Check for doneness by piercing the pie with a toothpick. If there are no traces of batter left, the pie can be removed from the oven. Cool slightly and remove from the mold.

Jellied pie with canned fish on kefir is ready! Serve hot or warm. Bon appetit!

One of the fastest and simple ways feed the family or guests who suddenly arrive with something tasty and satisfying - bake a pie. Talking about quick pies, the first thing that comes to mind is a jellied pie with canned fish. The recipe is so simple that really anyone can do it. The jellied dough is kneaded by simply combining all the ingredients intended for it into a homogeneous mass. The filling includes mashed canned fish, chopped boiled eggs and onions. Forming the cake takes a maximum of 2 minutes. Next comes the agonizing wait for it to be ready and the amazingly tender, tasty and nutritious pie is ready!

Ingredients

  • canned fish (saury, sardine) – 1.5-2 b.;
  • eggs (for filling) – 3-4 pcs.;
  • onion – 1 large head;
  • mayonnaise – 1 p. (volume 200 ml):
  • sour cream (10-15%) – 1 tbsp. (volume 200 ml);
  • eggs (in dough) – 3 pcs.;
  • salt (in dough and filling) - to taste;
  • flour – 200-250 g;
  • baking powder – 1 tsp.

Preparation

First of all, let's prepare the filling. The main part of it is canned fish, we don’t touch them yet. An equally successful addition to them (in addition to onions) can be: boiled eggs, boiled rice or potatoes. We will have a filling with canned food and eggs. Therefore, first we lower the eggs into cold salted water and boil them until hard-boiled. As soon as the eggs boil, you can turn on the oven at 180 degrees to warm up.

Next, add the eggs and whisk the mixture until smooth.

Test the dough for salt and add more salt if necessary. Then sift the flour together with baking powder. Please note that if sour cream and/or mayonnaise are low-fat (they are always more liquid), then you may need a handful or two more flour.

Knead the dough again with a whisk, and it is ready. The consistency is similar to thick pancake batter. On average, kneading the dough takes 5-10 minutes.

The eggs for the filling are already ready at this point. We send them under cold water and at the same time finely chop the onion, mash the canned food with a fork (drain all the liquid from them). Next, peel the eggs and chop them into pieces of the desired size. Mix all the filling ingredients together. Add some salt to taste.

Next you can form the cake. Line a baking tray with baking paper ( silicone mold there is no need to line it with paper) and pour part of the dough onto it, somewhere a little more than half, because part of the filling will inevitably drown in it. Place the filling on the dough and smooth it out.

Cover the filling with the remaining dough. The top layer of dough turns out to be very thin, so it’s not scary that in some places the filling will protrude into small tubercles. Gently shake the filled pan to even out the cake and place it in the oven.

Bake the pie for about 30-40 minutes. until the top is deliciously golden brown. During the baking process, the jellied pie with canned fish on mayonnaise rises greatly, but when it cools, it settles a little, this is normal.

Let the pie cool a little and cut into portions. It is delicious to eat as a snack with soup, or simply as a snack with tea or coffee.

Pie with canned fish is one of my lifesavers when you need to cook something tasty in a hurry, open a can of your favorite fish, knead the dough, and then it’s up to the oven. Bon appetit!
