Apply with a spatula, leveling over the entire surface. To make the cake smooth, you need to heat the spatula in hot water, wipe it dry and, applying it to the surface of the cake, smooth it out. Place in the refrigerator for another hour.

Now all that remains is to give the ship a finished look. To do this, its surface must be covered with cream or sugar mastic. It depends on what you like to work with more.

Roll out a thin layer of white mastic, make an imitation of wood ( special tools or you can use a toothpick) and cover the entire cake with the ship. You don’t have to do the tree relief right away to make it easier to cover, but do it on an already covered cake. If the ship turns out to be large, then you can, by cutting out the pieces of the required length and height, separately plaster first the sides, then the mast. When everything is ready, you need to paint the ship brown. To do this, dilute the brown dye in a small amount of water or vodka and stir. Dip the sponge into the dye and carefully paint the entire cake.

From the remaining mastic you should mold the necessary elements:

  • weapons;
  • windows;
  • pirates;
  • sail;
  • anchor;
  • lifebuoy;
  • steering wheel;
  • skulls;
  • sides;
  • barrel and other necessary parts.

Sails can be made from plain paper, from wafer or sugar paper, or from mastic. They need to be attached to wooden skewers.

How to decorate ready cake"Ship"? Cream can be used to make a wonderful deck. To do this, give the mass the desired color. The main thing is to completely evenly cover the ship with cream. I spent a long time looking for something to make masts out of, because... their length should be about 40-45cm just above the cake, i.e. total length not less than 50 cm.
And I unexpectedly found such sticks in a flower shop. These are bamboo sticks that are stuck into the flower pot and used to support the flower. I washed them well. I took sticks 5-6 mm in diameter.

First, I marked how far the stick should be inserted into the cake and into the base underneath the cake. I marked the remaining height of the mast for the yards. Then my husband drilled holes for the yards with a drill using a thin drill bit. For the rais, I took skewers for kebabs with a diameter of 2 mm.
I inserted skewers into the holes and got these two masts.

In one of the masts I made a hole obliquely for a slanting sail at the stern. I received this mast.

I made patterns for the base of the ship and the upper deck. I outlined where the masts should be.

On the backing for the cake I marked how the cake would be located and where the masts would be located I drilled holes for them

Then I made patterns for the slanting sails in front - the bottom one is the shortest, the top one is the longest.

Now I cut out the sails using the mastic according to the pattern, making an allowance at the top.

At the same time, I marked where the pattern line was.

I laid wire for the flowers along the top line of the pattern so that the ends of the wire extended beyond the sail.

We fold the mastic along the wire so that it remains in the fold of the mastic.

Smooth out the joint. I cut the plastic corner folder into pieces according to the size of the sails. I laid the sail with a pressed seam on the plastic and laid it to dry on the bottle so that the sail turned out to be round. And the seam should remain on the concave side of the sail, i.e. it will be facing the mast

Now we make oblique sails - we insert a wire into the front ones along the long side of the sail. Then it will be attached with one end of the wire to the front mast, and the other to a skewer inserted into the bow of the ship. We insert wires into the rear sail on both sides. One side of the sail will be attached to the rear mast, and the other to the slanting yard.

I would also like to add how I assembled the ship. I first inserted the sticks (wrapped in foil) into the backing in place of the masts and put the soaked cakes on them, then spread them with cream and laid the layers. Then, when the cake was in the refrigerator, I cut out the shape of the ship, and when the cake was almost ready, I pulled out the sticks that replaced the masts and inserted the already assembled masts with sails (also wrapped in foil at the bottom). And then she attached oblique sails to the finished ship. Because The holes on the backing turned out to be too big, so when I lifted the cake, the masts fell down. So I'm from the bottom side

  • honey - 5 tbsp. spoon;
  • butter - 50 g;
  • condensed milk - 1 can.

Making cakes

To do this, you need to beat large eggs together with sugar, and then add honey to them and place in a water bath. Brew the ingredients for about ¼ hour.
