It was not for nothing that the creators of “Copernicus” added the wording “Space-Temporal Club” (abbreviated PVK) to the name. This is a club where visitors should feel free and not be cramped in small rooms, so the entire establishment is a single space, conditionally divided into separate zones. A kind of dungeon with small windows and an unusual open layout in the style of an industrial white loft is the anti-cafe “Copernicus”.
The history of the origin of the name “Copernicus” is somewhat strange and at the same time prosaic. The founders decided to pay tribute to the unfairly forgotten Nicolaus Copernicus, a famous mathematician, economist and astronomer (previously the establishment was located on Copernicus Street). In his honor, by the way, the largest, until recently, anti-cafe in Russia was named.
Just like Copernicus, the anti-cafe was a pioneer, offering visitors a different format for spending time - spacious rooms and no cramped spaces, as is customary in most such places. Here you can dance, celebrate weddings, birthdays, corporate parties, anniversaries and just have a good time in a cozy but not cramped atmosphere.
Almost the entire establishment is a large space divided into zones. In the first hall, two niches await you, in one you can calmly sit with friends and play board games or just chat, in the other you can play Play Station 4 or X-box. There are no problems with games here - more than 50 games for consoles and more than 100 board games.
The space of the anti-cafe is really not small, so if you are going to come here with children, then keep in mind that you can get lost here, but know that the administration will certainly find everyone who gets lost in the depths of the establishment.
Proceeding further, you have at your disposal a large hall and several small niches for small companies. There is a 3-meter screen and a powerful projector installed here. For everyone who wants to dance, a 15-meter stage, karaoke with a mixer and two microphones are ready.
Those who don’t really like active fun can sit on sofas or at tables along the wall. This hall is often used for dancing and active recreation.
Notice the image of Copernicus on the ceiling. One wonderful girl spent a lot of time depicting an astronomer overhead. Moreover, on the walls there are paintings painted by one of the anti-cafe visitors.
If we talk about fans of this establishment, there are plenty of them. They bring books, interesting things, games and much more here. Someone even brought an electronic drum kit.
The next room is for a more relaxing pastime. Tables with sofas, several TVs and two real arcade machines with mini ping pong. Dim lighting is more suitable for casual communication and board games.
For those who use the anti-cafe as a place to work, Copernicus has a separate room for a coworking center. Here you can calmly work, hold a presentation or negotiate. A flipchart, a projector and a business atmosphere will help you with this.
Those who want to retire from everyone can stay with a company in a separate room, where soft sofas, a 3D TV and two consoles await you. To do this, you just need to inform the administration about your visit in advance. Usually they write in a group on VKontakte.
Anticafe "Copernicus" is very popular not only among ordinary visitors, but also among cosplayers. If this is your first time seeing this word, then I’ll explain – cosplayers are people who transform into characters from different films, cartoons, games and real-life people. Cosplay originated in Japan, thanks to fans of popular Japanese anime.

The kitchen of the new establishment was headed by a member of the national guild of chefs, TV presenter of culinary programs Kirill Golikov, who has been working in the restaurant industry for 20 years. The cafe is managed by Svetlana Vorobyova, who previously worked at Correa’s, Mari Vanna, Michel’s Bakery and Williams.
For breakfast, which is served here all day long, guests are offered to order an omelet (150 rubles), fried eggs (150 rubles), oatmeal(150 rubles), cheesecakes with sour cream and raspberry sauce (250 rubles), cottage cheese with sour cream and mint (250 rubles), pancakes with sour cream or condensed milk (180 rubles), sandwich on toast bread with chicken breast(280 rubles) or with smoked turkey (300 rubles). Later, breakfasts will be prepared on weekdays from 08:00 to 12:00, and on weekends from 09:00 to 15:00.

The main menu includes a club sandwich with chicken breast and bacon (390 rubles), burrito with beef and beans (350 rubles), roast beef with arugula and sauce (450 rubles), borscht with beef and sour cream (250 rubles), turkey cutlets with mashed potatoes (350 rubles), sockeye salmon steak with lemon sauce and Norwegian potatoes (550 rubles), meat lasagna with sour cream (280 rubles).

The cafe is decorated in French style, in green and white colors, French chanson and modern classics are playing in the background, and vases with meringues are placed on the shelves.
The first two weeks after the opening of the cafe - from January 25 to February 8 - all visitors, when ordering any dish or dessert from the window, are given coffee to go as a gift, for this they need to say the code word “Copernicus”.
At the same address, above the Copernicus cafe, the Copernicus restaurant is opening at the end of February, the kitchen of which will also be headed by Kirill Golikov.
