Characteristics of Petro Canada gear oils. Petro-Canada transmission oils for manual transmissions. Low temperature protection

About twenty years ago, Petro-Canada products appeared on the lubricants market. Today, the company's factories produce a huge range of lubricants of high quality and unique properties.

Petro-Canada gear oils are made from refined base oil formulations and are infused with specialized additives. First, the crude oil is purified according to the latest technological process NT Purity. After such purification, oils are obtained whose degree of purification reaches 99.9%.

Therefore, such lubricant products are completely free of harmful impurities that can be found in transmission products from other manufacturers.

Petro-Canada TRAXON 80W-90

Synthetic gear oil, part of the group of all-season products. Promotes reliable protection of the gearbox; it can be used for a long period of time before a complete replacement occurs.

Applicable:

  • In manual transmission of passenger vehicles,
  • Differentials,
  • Tractors,
  • SUVs.
  • Agricultural machinery,
  • Mining industry,
  • Forestry.

The equipment manufacturer usually indicates the brand of oil and its type in the service manual.

All TRAXON gear lubricants far exceed current requirements for GL-5 fluids. This product has properties that meet the requirements of the international standard API class MT-1, which applies to manual transmissions operating under heavy loads.

  • Universal joints,
  • Bearings for wheel hubs,
  • Planetary gears,
  • Gearboxes for industrial use,
  • Steering systems.

Thanks to excellent shear stability, the oil maintains its original viscosity value. This prevents close contact between rotating metal parts. The composition protects parts from increased wear, especially when the box operates at very high temperature conditions. It never decomposes, prevents the appearance of carbon deposits, and increases the service life of the gearbox.

Petro-Canada TRAXON Synthetic 75W-90

Synthetic lubricant designed for use in extreme cold. It can be used in the Far North, where temperatures drop to minus 50 and below.

The latest HT Purity technology was used in the production of this gear oil. Petro-Canada is the holder of a patent giving the right to use it. Thanks to this technology, oils are purified from all harmful impurities, which often worsen the technical characteristics of analogues. The oil contains an additive package that improves the performance of the entire system.

  • The oil has a stable viscosity coefficient.
  • A durable film covering the surface of rotating parts prevents them from touching.
  • Parts receive reliable protection from increased wear, especially when the manual transmission is operated at high temperatures.

The lubricant can be used in any region where the temperature drops below 50 degrees. As a result, it is easier to start the engine in extreme cold. The gear lever works without jamming, gear shifting is quick and easy.

The oil helps achieve maximum speed, in comparison with similar lubricants such as GL-5 80W-90, designed to work in extreme conditions when temperatures reach 200-450 degrees. Prevents increased wear of parts, reduces fuel consumption.
