How to make waffle cake with custard:

  1. In a thick-bottomed saucepan, first whisk together the sugar and flour. Then drive in raw eggs and grind into a homogeneous mixture. In several steps, dilute the mixture with the prescribed amount of milk.
  2. Place the custard base over high heat and, stirring continuously, cook until thickened. It is important to remember that as the cream cools, it will become even thicker.
  3. Stir soft butter into the slightly cooled custard base.

Spread the resulting cream onto the waffle cakes. Coat the top of the cake with cream and sprinkle with coconut flakes.

Filled with sausages and potatoes

In addition to cakes, you can also make very beautiful and delicious snack, which is called “Penechki”. The cakes for this dish should be taken not round, but rectangular.

This appetizer can be served either cold or hot, and it is prepared from the following products:

  • 200 g rectangular cakes;
  • 400 g potatoes;
  • 100 g butter;
  • 400 g milk sausages;
  • 150 g breadcrumbs;

Algorithm of actions:

  1. Peel the potato tubers and boil until tender in salted water. Then drain the water and mash the potatoes and butter into a puree.

  • 3 ready-made waffle layers;
  • 1 can of cod liver preserved in oil;
  • 3 hard-boiled chicken eggs;
  • 200 g hard cheese;
  • 100 g onions;
  • 150 – 200 g mayonnaise.

Cooking sequence:

  1. We prepare products for the layer. Eggs and cheese should be grated on a fine grater, the onion should be peeled and finely chopped, and the liver should simply be mashed with a fork right in the jar.

There are many options for coating the cakes: meat, cheese, eggs, mushrooms... And if you combine all these ingredients in one dish, you get a very tasty and hearty snack, which is in no way inferior to hearty meat or mushroom pies.

The proportions of the products in this case will be as follows:

  • 5 waffle cakes;
  • 300 g boiled or smoked chicken meat;
  • 300 g champignons;
  • 200 g onions;
  • 5 eggs;
  • 200 g hard cheese;
  • 50 g butter;
  • mayonnaise, herbs, salt and pepper to taste.

Cooking steps:

  1. Hard-boil the eggs, separate them into whites and yolks, which are individually turned into small chips.
  2. Fry the champignons along with chopped onions on butter until ready and cool.
  3. Separate the meat into individual fibers and, if necessary, cut with a knife to obtain small pieces.
  4. Also make shavings from hard cheese, which are mixed with chopped herbs. Mix each filling option with mayonnaise, salt and pepper to taste.
  5. We assemble the cake, one by one, greasing each cake with fillings in the following sequence: chicken, mushrooms, cheese, whites, yolks.
