Ingredients

  • 1 kg chicken fillet(I have thigh fillet)
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup pineapple juice
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 4 tsp chopped ginger
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • 4 small cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • ¼ tsp. hot red pepper flakes
  • Salt
  • Ground black pepper

1 cup = 240 ml

Preparation

Mix the ingredients for the marinade. Add chicken fillet. Cover with marinade. Let marinate in the refrigerator for 4-24 hours.

20-30 minutes before cooking, remove the chicken from the refrigerator so that it reaches room temperature.

Grilled:

Grill over medium-high heat for 4-5 minutes on each side. For chicken breasts increase time by 2-4 minutes.

Transfer to a plate, cover with foil and let stand for about 5 minutes.

In the oven:

You can use the broil/grill mode (225-250 C/450-500F-broil). Keep the baking sheet close to the heating element. Cooking time will be approximately 10-12 minutes. Turn over once.

Remove from oven, cover with foil and let rest for about 5 minutes.

  • Advice:

You can make a double portion. Leave one to marinate to use immediately, put the other in the freezer directly in the marinade. When you defrost the fillets, defrost them in the refrigerator (about 24 hours). As the chicken defrosts, it will marinate.

It is convenient to use a plastic bag for the marinade.

The marinating container should be glass (ideally), enameled, stainless steel or food-grade plastic.

  • Vegetable oil – 3 tbsp. l.;
  • Ground pepper;
  • Salt.

Cooking time: 25 minutes.

How to cook chicken chops with pineapple and cheese in the oven

1. Wash skinless chicken breast halves and wipe with a paper towel. We lay them down with the side on which the skin was, and carefully trim the thick, fleshy parts with a sharp knife. This way the thick parts of the fillet open up and when beating the meat will be of the same thickness.

2. Sprinkle the prepared halves with salt and ground pepper, place them one at a time on a board, cover with a plastic bag or a piece of cling film and beat well.

3. Place chicken chops in hot oil and fry at high temperature for 2-3 minutes. Do not fry too much, otherwise the white meat will become dry. Set the oven to 220 degrees.

Cooking tips:
